Ingredients
- 3 large ripe tomatoes, sliced 1cm thick
- 250g fresh mozzarella (buffalo if available), sliced
- Fresh basil leaves
- 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- Flaky sea salt
- Freshly cracked black pepper
- Balsamic glaze (optional)
Instructions
- 1 Slice tomatoes and mozzarella into even rounds, about 1cm thick.
- 2 Arrange alternating slices of tomato and mozzarella on a serving plate, overlapping slightly.
- 3 Tuck fresh basil leaves between the slices.
- 4 Drizzle generously with extra virgin olive oil.
- 5 Season with flaky sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
- 6 Add a drizzle of balsamic glaze if desired. Serve immediately at room temperature.
